CHRONIC ILLNESS
COUNSELLING & SUPPORT
Chronic Illness Counselling Australia
Online Counselling for People Living with Chronic Illness
Counselling for people living with chronic health challenges at any stage of their illness journey — whether newly diagnosed, still seeking answers, or navigating long-term illness.

Living with chronic illness affects far more than physical health. It can reshape identity, relationships, work, confidence and daily life. Fatigue, uncertainty, fluctuating capacity and feeling misunderstood by others can take a significant emotional toll.

I provide specialised chronic illness counselling via telehealth across Australia, offering compassionate and practical support informed by both professional training and lived experience navigating complex chronic illness.

Living with chronic illness often means having to explain, justify and advocate for yourself — to medical professionals, workplaces, family and friends. Counselling here begins from a shared understanding of complex and fluctuating health conditions, allowing us to address the psychological and relational impact of long-term illness.

Supporting Complex and Invisible Illness
I work with individuals living with a wide range of complex and often invisible chronic health conditions.

Why Online Counselling?
-
Chronic illness can make travel, preparation and regular appointments exhausting. Telehealth allows you to access support from the comfort of home — even from bed if needed.
-
Sessions are flexible and paced with care, respecting fluctuating energy levels, sensory sensitivities and the realities of complex health conditions.
-
Online counselling removes the barrier of travel while maintaining meaningful, supportive connection.
-
Flexibility & Convenience: Chronic illness often makes it hard to keep up with regular appointments.

What I Offer:
-
Emotional Support
Chronic illness can bring grief, frustration, anxiety, isolation and uncertainty. I provide a safe space to process these experiences without minimisation or judgment.
-
Coping Strategies
Develop practical tools to manage the emotional and psychological impact of chronic illness — including anxiety regulation, stress reduction, pacing awareness and rebuilding self-trust.
-
Quality of Life Support
While chronic illness may not be curable, it is possible to improve emotional wellbeing, stability and confidence. Together, we focus on supporting your overall quality of life within the realities of your health.
-
Relationship and Family Support
Chronic illness can affect partners, children and family systems. I support clients to navigate communication, shifting roles and maintaining connection while managing health challenges.
